    Registered Massage Therapy

Richard Llanera graduated from Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2013.  He started his career right here at Forest Hill Chiropractic & Massage Clinic.  He understands the importance of clinical assessments prior to any massage treatment.  In any healthcare profession, it is important to do a thorough clinical assessment.  Getting as much of the full picture of a person’s physical condition is of utmost importance to me in order to provide the best treatment plan possible.

Richard is no stranger to physical activity and the potential injuries that may occur.  He does cardio and endurance exercises like walking and running and trains in the martial arts.  As part of a holistic lifestyle, he takes care of himself with the proper dietary nutrition that complements his exercise routines.  I was born with many allergies.  My parents had to be extra careful with the foods I ingested.  I grew up observing the foods I ate discovering for myself what I enjoyed and what was good for me.”

When Richard completes a clinical assessment with a client, he offers a treatment plan based on the results.  His treatments range from myofascial release therapy, trigger point release therapy, muscle energy release therapy and manual lymphatic drainage therapy, to name a few.  His ultimate goal is to ensure a person in his care is provided with the best treatment possible.  I do not diagnose.  I assess.  If I assess that a medical doctor looks at your condition, then that is what I will discuss with you.  If I assess that your tension headache is due to tight and imbalanced muscles in your neck and shoulders because of poor ergonomic posture at your desk, then I will discuss with you a treatment plan using the best therapies within my scope of practice.”
